They also manage parks, coastal cleanliness, car parks, environmental health, licensing, and local economic regeneration.

Infrastructure: Management of Ramsgate Port and harbour
Waste and Recycling: Waste collections, garden waste, and street cleansing.
Housing: Social housing management, housing benefits, and housing needs support.

Environment and Safety: Environmental protection, public conveniences, and community safety.
Finance: Collection of Council Tax and business rates.
Community Services: Parks, playgrounds, and grounds maintenance.

Broadstairs and St. Peters Town Council
serves the local community by managing community assets, organising local events such a Remembrance and November 5th Fireworks and the Town Christmas Market while also enhancing the local environment. Key responsibilities include creating a Neighbourhood Plan, managing allotments, providing small-scale community infrastructure, and acting as a local voice for residents.
Key Responsibilities and Services:
Funding: Providing funding for community and voluntary groups, along with a focus on delivering a “Cleaner, Safer and Kinder” town
Neighbourhood Planning: Developing and updating the Neighbourhood Development Plan to influence local development.
Community Initiatives: Organising local events and initiatives, including “Broadstairs in Bloom”.
Assets & Maintenance: Managing town assets, such as 17 notice board sites, and providing amenities like allotments at Norman Road and Prospect sites, Open spaces such as Culmers Amenity land and Mockett’s Wood and also maintains Pierremont Hall for community use, offices and events space.
Civic Pride: Overseeing civic functions, including the Annual Town Assembly, Remembrance Service, and Mayor-making.
Local Representation: Acting as a consultee on planning applications and representing community interests to higher authorities.
