In November, Neil, our Woodland Office welcomed help from the Town Team and staff from East Kent College Finance Department at Mockett’s Wood. We had wild garlic and crocus bulbs to plant, which took place at such a speed, that Neil was able to use the additional help to build some more of the dead hedging around the woods. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day and we hope to welcome them back for some more volunteer days in the future.
The Friends of Mockett’s Wood and Neil meet every Saturday at 10am. If you would like to volunteer, or have a group that would be wish to volunteer for a day, please contact Neil on woodlandoffier@broadstairs.gov.uk
