The ultimate Battle of the Bands returns to the Broadstairs Bandstand for its second epic year!
🌟 What is Battle of the Bands?
This friendly live music competition is designed exclusively for performers under the age of 18. Whether you are a brand-new act or trying to grow your local fan base, this event is the perfect launchpad for your music journey.
The Broadstairs & St. Peter’s Town Council is teaming up with Sunshine Ocean Records once again to host the clash. A panel of industry judges will crown the 2026 champion, so make sure you are in it to win it!
🏆 The Winner’s Prize Package
The crowning act will walk away with an incredible prize package to boost their career:
- Studio Time: A full-day recording session voucher.
- Practice Space: 6 months of monthly rehearsal space at Pierremont Hall.
- Paid Gig: A guaranteed, paid booking on the official 2027 Broadstairs Bandstand Guide.
Bonus: Our 2025 reigning champions, Black House Hill, will perform a live guest set while the judges deliberate!
📋 How to Apply & Rules
Spaces are extremely limited, so do not wait to secure your spot.
- To Register: Email your entry straight away to events@broadstairs.gov.uk.
- Slot Limit: Only 5 performance slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Eligibility: Open to local youth acts from Broadstairs, St Peter’s, or the wider Thanet area.
- Age Limit: All musicians must be under 18. Performer’s aged 16 and under must be chaperoned by an adult.
- Gear Note: Sunshine Ocean Records will provide the PA system, backline, and a professional sound tech. Artists must bring their own instruments and breakables (like cymbals/snare). A full equipment list will be provided, and you will need to submit a list of your own gear beforehand.
